Ali has been absolutely amazing, training, coaching and helping me strengthen my body following a slipped disk. She's very knowledgeable, empathic and knows exactly how to adapt each exercise for each person & their medical needs.

Google review

I was a beginner at Pilates when I started with Ali and I really appreciated all the time she puts into each person, which she is able to do with the small classes.

Google review

Being of the older generation I wanted a pilates instructor who would be sensitive to my body requirements. I was recommended to go to Alison at Moxie Pilates for a session that would not push me too far.

Google review

I had a 1:1 with Ali and it was so good! It was the first time I had used equipment in pilates and I really loved the way it felt like it was working every muscle.

Google review

The best Pilates instructor I have ever met! Professional, and she tailor made for my lessons every week depending on the needs of my body!

Google review

Her small classes are the perfect mix of challenge and support, and she gives each student so much personal attention.

Who it's for

When movement feels like guesswork.

For people with hypermobility, persistent pain, recurring injury, or who simply feel disconnected from their body. Complete beginners are welcome too. No experience needed.

Everyone starts one-to-one

Sessions built around your body from day one. Move into duets or groups of up to 4 when it suits you.

A full apparatus studio

A full apparatus studio

Reformer, Tower, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, Combo Chair and more. Not a row of reformers.

Ali is hypermobile herself, with hEDS, and Polestar trained. She teaches from lived experience.

The basics

What is equipment Pilates?

Equipment Pilates uses spring-loaded apparatus, the reformer, tower and Cadillac, that can assist a movement as easily as resist it. The same exercise can be made gentler or harder for your body on the day. Sessions are 55 minutes, with mat work woven in where it helps.

  • Awareness

Notice what your body is actually doing. The springs give your brain more feedback than the same exercise on the mat.

  • Connection

Link what you feel to how you move. Try different options and see how your body responds between sessions.

  • Strength

Build load and confidence on what now moves well, at your pace.

Less about thinking how to move. More about feeling it.

Springs provide assistance and resistance to movement, and the apparatus can also challenge your balance and proprioception. That is Ali's framework in practice: awareness first, then connection, then strength. You start one-to-one, so every session is built around your body.

Sessions

Start one-to-one. See what suits you next.

Hi, I'm Ali. Let's get curious about how you move.

Meet your teacher.

Founder & Pilates Teacher

Ali Evans

Comprehensive Polestar Pilates Teacher

Ali came to Pilates for recurring back pain, and recovered from a disc bulge and a fractured coccyx along the way. She is hypermobile herself, with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which is why bendy, sensitive and painful bodies are her specialism rather than a footnote.

She is comprehensively Polestar trained, with over 600 hours of initial training plus many hundreds of teaching hours since, an Integral Movement Method hypermobility practitioner, SIRPA-informed for chronic pain, Buff Bones qualified for osteoporosis-safe work, and a somatic coach in training. She is less interested in telling you how you should move, and more interested in helping you understand what is happening in your own body.

People often come looking for strength or flexibility. What they often leave with is a better understanding of their own body.
